Answers to questions from IT staff

Focused on Your Success

Some of the most frequently asked IT and technical questions regarding the EDITLife transplant management software system for Cell Therapy and Solid Organ Transplant are listed below.  Please contact us with other questions or for additional info.

Is EDITLife for Cell Therapy and Solid Organ Transplant a web-based solution or client-server application?

EDITLife, a web-based transplant management software system, is typically hosted by the hospital.  We are currently exploring additional options, including cloud-based solutions. EDITLife simply requires the installation of an approved web browser on the workstation, such as Google Chrome (version #44.0.2403.125m and above) or Internet Explorer 11 or above.

Please describe your licensing model. Is it per seat, CPU, concurrent, etc.?

The licensing model for EDITLife is per site, per module. The license for a given site/module is an enterprise license, meaning that the site may have an unlimited number of users for the licensed module.

Can legacy data be migrated to EDITLife?

Yes, BMT, CAR-T, Cell Processing Lab, and Solid Organ Transplant historical data – from the EHR, databases, spreadsheets, or other sources – can be imported into EDITLife. As part of its EDITLife Interchange Structure (EIS) process, the EDITLife team provides a standard set of formats for the hospital’s IT team to use to export legacy data.

Your designated EDITLife representative, as well as others on the team, will work very closely with your hospital IT staff to ensure that the data migration process is as seamless as possible.

Can EDITLife be interfaced to our EHR? If so, what interfaces are available?

To reduce data entry and improve data integrity, the EDITLife software system seamlessly interfaces with all hospital EHRs. In addition to offering an extensive list of available in/outbound interfaces, we are experts at developing custom interfaces.

What system documentation materials do you provide?

During a kick-off meeting at the beginning of implementation, every client receives a very comprehensive Enrollment Kit that outlines the entire implementation and go-live processes.  The kit includes hardware/software requirements, technical and application, installation and function, trouble-shooting processes, end-user documentation, and training materials.
